We have spent enough time learning Western painting since its arrival in the Meiji era,
but it's about time for us to create our own country, and contemporary art based on Japanese culture.
Systema Gallery introduces artists who express deeply Japanese culture and
techniques.
The concept is to appeal Neo-Japanese Art ー <NEJA-ism> to the world.
It is comparable to Europe and the United States, and is not just a traditional painting.
ー It is “Japanese-Contemporary”.
明治に西洋絵画が日本に到来して以来、十分な時間をその習得に費やしてきましたが、そろそろ、我々自身の、日本という国を、日本の文化をベースにした、現代絵画というものを作り出していっても、よい時期ではないかと思います。
私たちのギャラリーは、きわめて日本的な文化や技法を色濃く表現するアーテイストたちを扱い、ヨーロッパにも、アメリカにも対峙して、遜色のない、伝統日本絵画でもない、ニッポン-コンテンポラリー、＜NEJA-iｓｍ> というものを世界にアピールしてゆくことを、そのコンセプトとしています。
